OUR VISION
We welcome new members to join the
SDES Alvarado Portuguese Cultural Center which proudly celebrates and promotes the preservation of our Portuguese language, culture and traditions.
You do not have to be Portuguese to be a member - we welcome all !

Membership is intended for individuals, couples and families who share an interest in and commitment to the preservation and promotion of Portuguese language, culture and history.
BECOME A MEMBER
Members
There shall be no maximum number of members of the Society, nor any restrictions as to their place of residence.
The Society shall have three categories of members:

A married couple with each spouse having one vote;

Individual persons entitled to one vote;
c) Honorary members. Honorary members are those persons who have performed extraordinary services on behalf of the Society. Honorary members shall be recommended by the Board and voted upon by the membership.
Males and females of age eighteen (18) years or older, of the Roman Catholic religion, shall be eligible for membership.
A member may propose for membership any eligible person at a regular or special meeting of the members of the Society, and such proposed person shall then be voted upon. If elected to membership the person proposed shall become a member of the Society upon payment of one year’s dues in advance.
A member may withdraw from membership by written notice to the Secretary, but shall, nevertheless, be liable for any accrued dues and any assessments theretofore levied which are unpaid at the time of such withdrawal.

Annual Member Dues are $35 per couple/or individual.
